About Our Name

The word "inspire" comes from the Latin word "spirare," the same root from which we get the words "respirate" and "spirit." Spirare has to do with wind or breath. When we get inspired, it's like an idea or a passion is breathed into us from someone or something else. Maybe you're scared that music isn't for you. Maybe you've had a bad experience with another teacher. Inspire Academy of Music is here to be a breath of fresh air in the community, creating the kind of joy and togetherness that only comes from singing and playing together in harmony. We want our students' experience to be fun, but more than that, we want the work of practice, preparation, receiving constructive criticism, and hard work to equip them for life. Get inspired.
